Ukiyo-e Exhibition Opens at Soka Art Museum in Taiwan

On March 29, the exhibition “From Edo to Modernity: Selections from the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum Ukiyo-e Collection” opened at the Soka Art Museum in Kaohsiung. The exhibition is made up of some 150 ukiyo-e artworks that depict the everyday lives of the people in 17th- to 19th-century Japan. It also includes works by famous ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai and explains the origin, development and production process of this art form. The exhibition will run until May 25.
