Lunar New Year Celebrations

On February 17, Soka Gakkai members across Asia held meetings to celebrate the Lunar New Year. In Hong Kong, meetings took place at five venues. In Macau, the new year was celebrated at the Macau Culture Center and included a lion dance performed by members of the young men’s group. In the Philippines, some 1,800 people joined a hybrid meeting at the Manila International Peace Center. The event featured choral and dance performances.
