SGI Representatives Attend Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development

From February 24 to 27, SGI (Soka Gakkai International) representatives attended the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) in Bangkok, Thailand. On February 25, Nobuyuki Asai, director for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Affairs of the SGI, joined a roundtable session on SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
On February 18, Harumi Endo, program coordinator for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Affairs of the SGI, participated in a session also on SDG 11 at the APFSD Youth Forum 2026. She introduced the community revitalization initiative being led by Soka Gakkai youth in Japan’s Tohoku area, which continues to deal with the effects of the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster.
